Khizr Khan Responds To Trumps Criticisms – Reverse Speech Analysis

Khizr Khan and his wife Ghazala appeared at the Democratic National Convention and are the Pakistani American parents of United States Army Captain Humayun Khan, who was killed in 2004 during the Iraq War. The couple received international attention following a speech they made at the 2016 Democratic National Convention that criticized Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for his allegedly insensitive and racist remarks he made about Muslims in general and for his insulting attacks on the family of a Muslim American war hero. Khizr gave a speech about their son Humayun, during which he harshly criticized Donald Trump for several issues and policies especially his proposed ban on Muslim immigration. During his speech Khizr offered to lend Trump his copy of the Constitution and he pulled a book version of it from his pocket and waved it at the crowd. The Washington Post called the gesture the most memorable image from the convention. Here are some of the reversals found in the Reverse Speech analysis of that speech.

Kahn – “I ask every patriot American, all Muslim immigrants, and all immigrants, to not take this election lightly.” – Dammit, they stab me.

Kahn – “(Crowd chanting USA) As patriotic American-Muslims, with undivided loyalty to our country…” – Smell some liquor.

Kahn – “..vote for the strongest, most qualified candidate, Hillary Clinton, not the divider. God bless you. Thank you.” – They are with a gun.

Kahn – “..take the time to get out and vote; and vote for the healer…” – We are the dead.

Kahn – “..let me ask you…” – We saw evil.

Kahn – “..vote for the strongest, most qualified candidate, Hillary Clinton, not the divider. God bless you. Thank you.” – We serve God.
