Mike Pence is an American politician and attorney and is now the Republican Party nominee for Vice President of the United States in the 2016 election. His past experience in politics has been serving as the governor of Indiana since 2013. Pence previously represented Indiana’s 2nd congressional district and Indiana’s 6th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives from 2001 to 2013 and served as chairman of the House Republican Conference from 2009 to 2011. Pence is a conservative and was a supporter of the Tea Party movement.

On July 15, 2016, Donald Trump announced that he had selected Mike Pence as his vice presidential running mate in the 2016 presidential election.
